You will be picked up direct from your central London accommodation and taken by private vehicle to the heart of the beautiful Cotswolds.
This area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is home to some of England's most picturesque Villages and rustic country Pubs.

It's no wonder that TV and film crews return to this area again and again and use it as the back drop to some of Britains best loved dramas.
on this tour we will focus on the Villages and locations used in the hit show Father Brown.

First up is the gorgeous village of Blockley. This village becomes 'Kembleford' in Father Brown.
The Church of Saints Peter and Paul in the village served as St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in the series, and the village vicarage  becomes the priest’s residence played by the fantastic Mark Williams. The church yard was covered in snow for the show’s Christmas special at the end of 2017.

Just down the road is the pretty village of Moreton-In-Marsh. The former Moreton-in-Marsh hospital has been used for the interiors of Father Brown’s kitchen, study and presbytery, as well as Kembleford’s police station.

All this excitement following in Father Browns footsteps may make you hungry! perhaps it's time to stop for lunch at a traditional Pub?
Well what better place to stop than Father Brown's local? The Bakers Arms in Broad Campden is used in the show as the Village Public House. Once suitably refreshed it's time to see more of the world of Father Brown!

A short drive through the stunning countryside and we arrive at the tiny but perfectly formed village of Upper Slaughter. Don't let the name put you off, it derives form the Old English term "slough" meaning "wet land". This beautiful spot provided the back drop to some of the series story lines, and doubles up as part of Kembleford, Father Browns Village.
A short hop away is the curiously named village of Guiting Power. This village has a population of 296 people, but amazingly has a post office, village hall, bakery, shop and two Pubs! The producers of Father Brown used the village post office and center to help out as extra locations for the Village of Kembleford.

**Depending on time, for those interested in the show 'The Vicar Of Dibley' we can drive through the village of Turville on the way back** (This may mean shortening some of the Father Brown Locations)

Treat yourself to a relaxed, private and bespoke tour at your pace with your own Private Driver and Guide. Non rushed, and door to door service.
